Bilbo Baggins

Possibly the best open air cinema in Athens. But the volume is just too low. I understand there are buildings in the area but sometimes it's like listening to the move from a laptop positioned under the screen. Do not take foreigners there who cannot understand perfect English.

This is a great place to see an open air movie. You can drink beer or wine with your popcorn, the walls inside are all covered in vines to give you the feeling you're in a private garden, and if the movie starters to bore you then you have the option to look over at the Acropolis all lit up on the hill against a dark sky. I had the added bonus of a full moon as well.

Sound of the movie is too quiet. Seats not very comfy. Having been to Europe's only permanent all year round outdoor cinema in Gran Canaria where they provide sofas and blankets this isnt the best. They show mostly older films too. You can order food and drinks inside or take your own in. Fab view of the Acropolis at night too. Beautiful setting.

Amazing Theater. So beautiful, you can see the Parthenon from the seats. All the people working there were so friendly. This is a true hidden treasure. If you are in Athens I recommend taking the time to watch a movie here. One of my favorite nights on my honeymoon in Greece.

Plenty of room. Friendly staff. Great view to Propylea of Acropolis (the monumental gate). Comfortable seats. Small screen. Typical sound. Subtitles in greek and english (ask for it). Reasonable prices at snack bar. Decoration and atmosphere travels you back time

A good price for tickets and snacks, a beautiful peaceful setting, you couldn't ask for more on a warm Athens evening. Very highly recommend everyone visiting Athens tries this cinema at least once, an experience like no other!
