Hypnosis Scotland is a very welcoming and comfortable therapy centre. Having suffered with severe depression and PTSD for many years, and in desperation, I contacted the centre and met with John who was friendly and professional, immediately putting me at ease. I found him very perceptive, understanding and easy to talk to. He has been very patient, using a variety of therapies to find the best way to support me in my journey to better mental health and also helping me to understand my ‘condition’ and its effects better than any psychiatrist. It is no exaggeration to say that the strategies he has taught me, and the support and therapy he has given have helped me to function better,.. to continue to work full-time,.. and, at times kept me safe. I cannot thank him enough nor recommend him highly enough.

I first went to John a number of years ago after finding I wasn't getting any help with the NHS. My first visit I was a little nervous and unsure what to expect, I needn't have worried as John's warmth, kindness, sense of humour and down to earth approach soon put me at ease. Each visit I felt truly listened to without judgement and never rushed. I felt safe and supported by John and able to express my deepest fears. With John's wealth of knowledge, expert advice and work on my part there was light at the end of a dark tunnel. I now go regularly for hypno touch massage. I always leave feeling lighter in spirit and the world is a better place! Thank you John.

I got a hypnosis session to stop smoking in november 2018 and 7 months later im still stopped. Great work thanks a lot would highly recommend to anyone trying to stop smoking.

in July of 2018, i contacted Hypnosis Scotland & spoke to John Lawrence, i'd been housebound with Panic Disorder on and off for 10 years and was desperate to try anything at this point in time, i'd tried everything else and had spoken to many a counsellor but to no avail. In all honesty, my Panic and Anxiety tended to get worse whenever i went to counselling so when i went to see John for the first time, my cynicism was at an all time high and to be frank, i never believed Hypnosis would work with me. Fast forward 5 months and after 17 years of unemployment and fear of any responsibility, i have a job, more importantly though, when i pulled up at Mannerston Holdings, i could feel that the place was different from all the others i'd been to, it's beautiful & cozy, homely even and instantly makes you feel calm, it is aesthetically pleasing inside and out, it even smells nice, of lemon balm actually. In regards to John Lawrence, he has a humility, warmth that i never found in other counsellors, he is also incredibly down to earth and is genuinely sincere in his approach when helping others. He helped me in ways i never realised until i started my new job and begun taking part in life again. So if your stuck in your head, give this guy a call, he's what every therapist should be & thank you John.
