Good for kids
For me, this wasn't as exciting as anticipated. I expected something a little larger to wander around for at least half an hour, but after 5 minutes you've seen all there is to see unfortunately. There's a plaque upon entry that gives a bit history of the Rectory, so if you enjoy historical facts this may be more interesting to you.

Very small and not much detail given about it. Could be better if they out signs up on what things were. There is a sign just as you go in that explains the layout but it can be obscured by the hedges so look out for it. That gives some information but not much. Very mossy so watch out under foot. Interesting building and glad we visited as staying really close but not worth travelling far for.
A chance find. The village is near the M6 and fascinating if you are interested in nature or history. There are several places to see and a path on to Warton Crags with fabulous views towards the Lakes and over Morecambe Bay.
Nice place to stop off whilst driving back south from the lakes to break up the journey. Lovely old ruins but not much to see. Tho I can recommend popping in if Your passing. But check to see if it’s open when you go as I think it closes over winter.
So good to see a building looked after so well
