We stayed in Lynton for 3 days and decided that we would donthe gorge walk up up the river to watersmeet. It was a really hot day and the walk had plenty of cover from the sun. The path is big enough for couples to pass safely, as it does get rather busy with walkers. Its probably the best river walk me and the wife have ever done, seeing lots of different wildlife, small water falls and flowers. The walking is relatively easy, there are parts that have a steep incline but plenty of places to rest. The national trust centre was well organised but pricey, but they all are to be honest. But the money goes to the staff and keeping such a nice place open so you dont mind paying.

Lovely place for a walk with the family. Bring your wellies, an added bonus is a place to grab a bite to eat and a drink. Highly recommend

Gorgeous woodland footpaths around the river enjoying views from the falls. Would definitely recommend however be aware the paths may not be suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Lovely place with some beautiful walks. Very busy even on a damp October. Limited cafe options serving decent food

Lovely walk with great scenery. Just not easy to socially distance on some of the narrower sections. Even better on a quieter weekday I imagine.
