Wet and icy cold today. But still busy. Popular place. Lovely long sandy beach, meadow walks and a lake. Play park for children.Information centre closed to Covid. Plenty of parking spaces, but I've known it to be full in summer. Parking charges minimal really. First hour free (press green button twice). Worth paying if staying longer. Whole day easily taken up if weather permits.

Our best day of the week during our holiday. To have meadowland, woods a lake, nature reserve a great coffee shop, toilets open and the beautiful expanse of beach. For 3 all day parking is sensational. Dog loved it

There's a big lake that you can park easily right next to. It has a well maintained walk all the way around. There's reasonable parking which is pay and display, and isn't expensive. The lake has access with a slope for people to use the lake. Sometimes you will see canoes, small sail boats etc. The usual ducks and swans can be seen on the water and at different times can be seen sleeping on the grass verges. Its a very popular place for dog walking with plenty of space so you don't feel on top of one another. Further into the park there is another car park with access to a lovely beach. This can get pretty busy at the weekends on warm sunny days as you might expect. Theres a small centre with a shop and toilets which is handy to have near by.

Lovely place to spend time and plenty of walk options; countryside, lake and beach - always a good option.

A beautiful winter's saturday afternoon visit with my grandson. We walked around the lake, along the beach, played in the park and ate a picnic. Perfect location, stunning scenery. Wonderful place to visit.
