Beautiful area well worth a few days of exploration. Unfortunately, it is somewhat ruined by the dirty Italians who think nature is a good place to leave their used toilet paper and plastic cutlery. Lots of livestock, including horses, which help make the area accessible, as well as many small roads.

A magnificent place. I live at the feet of the Taburnus, and it's home to me. It's not a very tall mountain, but it offers breathtaking view and a vibrant nature. The perfect place to relax and explore. Sadly not as beautiful after Ferragosto, Pasquetta and other \day-out-in-the-mountains\ occasions where Italians who don't care at all about nature all flock here to eat 100 metres away from their cars, leaving a lot of trash behind. A safe haven for the soul in any other day.
