I order more take out from here than anywhere else since moving to Richmond. Everything on the menu is proper. My go-to meals are curry goat or escovitch red snapper with a side of plantain. The oxtails are tasty as well.

At an average 4.4 rating, this place needs little to convince people to go here for some solid Jamaican food. The decor is fun and expressive. Murals on the walls really show off they passion in bringing a slice of Jamaica to Richmond. Prices are on par with what you get as well. 9 for large portions and about 2 for beef patties. Let's get into the food. The beef patty was perfectly cooked and with a good hint of spice. I also ordered the Island Fried Chicken. It was fried chicken smothered in island sauce. The sauce was sweet, but did not hide the savory fried chicken. If you're looking for a good representation of Jamaican food, try this place out.

They are following the covid-19 restrictions and social distancing. Depending on what you can afford Jamaican food is usually a little harshly like any place else. I ordered a small jerk chicken a small curry chicken and small oxtail meal. Everyone that I ordered for loved the food. the Cabbage was nice and crunchy and the food was hot just the way they liked it and everything was delicious overall take into account a lot of rice like you would from any restaurant.

HAD A TASTE FOR JAMAICAN FOOD AND DROVE 1 HOUR TO THIS PLACE. GOOGLE SEARCH FOR {JAMAICAN FOOD IN RICHMOND NEAR ME} LED ME HERE.STAFF WAS HARD WORKING -COURTEOUS -FOOD WAS GOOD AND WELL SEASONED-\ AH REAL YARD FOOD\ CABBAGE WAS PERFECT!!! HOWEVER, THE OXTAIL COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANED A LITTLE BETTER TO RID THE FAT. OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD AND WILL COME BACK AGAIN!
