Good first stop in Ueno. Nice ambiance, good presentation, delicate flavors. Would have liked to know where the eel was from and a bit more sauce, and a little crispier, but this is tokyo style. You are definitely paying for the ambiance. Not a bad place by any stretch of the imagination.

Nice restaurant with good selection of set meals. Seasonal food was nice and fresh but price is slightly high.
We were there on Week day noon time. There are really not many customers during lunch hour. The environment was great and there was English menu available. Though the old lady doesn't speak English, she was very very nice.
Great unagi (eel) and service. The shop is very clean and well decorated. Conveniently close to the station and to the park.
The eel rice was excellent, but shockingly, one of the set lunch did not have eel and had very little food (I forgot the name but it's worth 5,000 yen)
